Moniga del Garda is a small town in the southwestern corner of Lake Garda, in the province of Brescia.
This place has been occupied since the early bronze age (approx 1800-200 BC).
The name of the town is derived from the goddess Diana Muchina. According to ancient legend, there is a sanctuary dedicated to her in the surroundings.
The oldest part of the village is on a hill on which you will also find the castello, a small castle from the Middle Ages. The San Martino, one of the oldest churches in the area, is also on the hill.
The newer parts of Moniga are closer to Lake Garda. Here you will find a large marina where you can rent boats.
